Distracted Driving
Teens Helping Teens
Peer passengers, talking or texting on a cell phone, changing the radio, eating, or applying makeup are all dangerous distractions. If the brain is thinking about anything other than driving, it can make it difficult to react during a potential crash—especially for inexperienced teen drivers.
Are you a teen? You can be the best messenger with your peers! Speak up when you see a friend distracted while driving.

Don’t Become a Statistic
In 2022, 2,883 teenagers (ages 13-19) died in the United States from crash injuries. Such injuries are one of the leading causes of death in this age group (National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, 2024).
Be Committed
Distracted driving is the leading cause of teen fatalities, and nobody wants to be another depressing statistic in this avoidable epidemic.
Be Involved
Everyone can take part in making our roads safer. Spread the word on teen driver safety and help reduce car crashes in your community.
